Most women in the clan wear this as a tattoo on the small of their backs while most men wear on their chest of back, the wings on the shoulder blades while the crown is in the center.
Clan Location: Most Shinra are in the Land of Lightning but there are a few scattered across the other nations. Hikaru happens to be one of the rare few in the Land of Fire.

Clan Jutsus: None.
Kekkei Genkai: All Shinra's have the ability to "read fingerprints". Most clan members don't even need to train for it, they just gain it at the age of fifteen. Others are unable to gain it at all until they are much older, life either half way or nearly over.
The Shinra's call their KKGK Shimon sukyan, or Fingerprint Scan. They are capable of touching a fingerprint someone has left behind and getting whatever thought they had while they were touching the object they'd left the print on. Most of the time it is only glimpses of thoughts left behind but sometimes they can catch whole sentences.
Shimon Sukyan can also be used fingertip-to-fingertip but it is very dangerous to the Shinra that uses it. Though they get every thought that the victom has ever had, a part of their body goes numb for hours. It is usually a new spot. When some of the early on Shinra's discovered that touching someone's fingertips directly slowly killed you, they began to warn against to the younger children that came along. To prevent it. Still, many times a year, Shinra children are found having their bodies deteriorated.
This KKGK is only able to be used because the Shinra clans bodies are naturally full of chakra that can read other chakra left on fingerprints. Even for those who have yet to master their chakra or have never been able to use it, they can be read. The only people that the Shinra's can't read are the one's who do not have any chakra at all, and those who are always wearing gloves because they don't leave behind fingerprints.

History and Members
History: When the villages first came to be, Kayler and Ichigo Shinra, two young females with the same ability to read the fingerprints of chakra users, formed this clan. The two of them, of course, were married before hand, and thought very carefully about what sort of shinobi they needed to marry for their children to come out just as they were. Kayler and Ichigo never actually loved their husbands, but they did love the children they gained from the relationships.
Kayler was lucky when she found that her children could learn their ability from the start. Ichigo was rather irked when her children could not control it until very late. As neither of them were related by blood, they had their children mate. Most of the children that came from the gifted young children were able to master it at a young enough age. But others, unfortunately, could not master it until the end.
Even so, every new gifted child was put in school and taught about their future abilities, how not to react and how to deal with it. They were also taught the dos and don'ts. At that point in time, none of the Shinra's actually knew that to touch someone else's fingertips was lethal so many of the grown shinobi able to read them touched the fingertips constantly, pretending there wasn't even a numb spot. When Kayler and Ichigo saw their clan beginning to die off two gens in, they had to stop it.
Kayler, being younger and more fit, experimented with the finger to finger thing, hoping she wouldn't be killed right off the bat because, really, the bitch was getting old. Ichigo studied her, and any other clan members that were reading chakra users lives. Kayler told how it felt when she touched the fingers of others, like her brain was being turned to mush. And the places that went numb were different each time, sometimes her legs would give way because they were numb. When Kayler's body began to deteriorate, and she died, Ichigo declared that there was never to be finger-to-finger contact ever again. It was too dangerous.
Quite a few hundred years later, when Hikaru's father was born, there was a war between the Shinra clan and other clans in the LoL. It started a year after his birth and ended when he was thirteen. Though the Shinra's were not a very popular clan, they still had allies among the other clans. These allies betrayed the ones attacking the Shinra's and forced the war to be even, preventing the death of every gifted clan member.
After the war, with Hikaru's father growing older after his parent's deaths in the war, he became clan leader at seventeen and worked his way into a rather gifted, very loving and doting husband and father.
Now... none of the other clans actually quite understood the Shinra's very well, so they never knew what exactly they worshiped. Or for that matter, who. There was a stone statue of the tailed beast Nibi in a shrine, where most mother's were taken to have their children born, praying that one day one of their children would be blessed with the demon in their body.
One day, Nibi came to the LoL and caused much chaos. Hikaru's father, thinking and acting quickly, sealed the Nibi into the freshly new born baby girl that had killed her mother as she was born.
Afterwards, Hikaru and her father moved to the Leaf, continuing to lead the clan through whatever methods they could (usually he). After Hikaru murdered her father, she took over, traveling often to the LoL to conduct meetings.
